It was a rather warm afternoon, not a cloud to be seen in the blue sky. Severus Snape made his way across the grounds, rather weighed down from the bag he carried full of books. His cold dark eyes scanned the grounds, to be sure Potter or Black weren't anywhere nearby, with also a hopeful glance for Lily though he didn't see her around. Then again, if Lily was to be around, so would James.
He finally settled down beneath a tree, not far from the lake. It all reminded him too well of the previous year, one of the many memories of being 'attacked' by Potter and Black. He cringed at the memory, as of that day it had been when he'd foolishly broken the friendship between him and Lily with a few careless words.
He knew the other reason she'd been reluctant to forgive him. His obsession with the Dark Arts. However, that was not something he could give up. Ever since first arriving at Hogwarts, he's always been very interested in the Dark Arts and still is. It was not something he could give up or change, it was now simply apart of him. Yawning, he opened up his bag and took out one of his books, yet again on Dark Arts though one a bit more appropriate for school and opened it. He glanced across the grounds once more, his expression both wary and hopeful, before settling down on reading his book.

((OOC: As you can see Severus, Serena is determined to be your friend and yet again joined anouther Thread becaue of RPG addiction. ;D Honestly are you that stubborn. Because trust me Serena can be just as stubborn))
Serena walked acrossed the grounds a sketch pad in hand, as she walked a light breeze had started to blow. As she walked acrossed the grounds she sat near the lake and opened her sketch pad and began drawing. Her long hair pulled back into an unperfect pony tail.

Severus flipped through the book, turning to the page he'd last been on. Out of habit he looked up and around the grounds, in hope he might see the familiar red head he's been hoping to see all morning. Still, with no sign of her he turned his attention back to his book.
He was only paying half attention to the book's content, as he was listening to the ongoing chatter of the students around him. They were all most likely gossiping about the ball which would soon take place. He was a bit nervous about the ball, he'd already said he was going with Nikki but he's never been to one before. He doesn't even know how to dance. He did wonder though, if he would see Lily there, and if she was going with anyone.

Serena continued drawing and finally finished the sketch. She then looked up and around as she scanned the ground she spotted Severus and decided to try and be his friend for which seemed like the 15th million time even though it was only 3rd attempt.
She then stood and walked over and said, "Hello, Severus."

Severus looked up rather jerkily as he heard the voice, his eyes narrowing as hie saw Serena. Now what did she want? Was she taking up Potter's place of harassing him? The last time he'd seen her, she'd been telling him off and now she decides to be all friendly?
"What do you want." Severus said rather harshly. If she seemed to dislike him so much, why was she bothering in talking to him? He attempted to keep his attention back on the book he'd been going through, though he found his mind wondering once more.

Serena then said, "Hmmmm to maybe ask why you are so rude to me when I try to be nice to you."

"Why do you think?" Severus snapped. Was she really that blind to why he was rude to her? Did she honestly just think he was going to jump at the chance to be friends with some Gryffindor girl who was getting on his nerves and wouldn't leave him alone? Not to mention that she'd almost ruined the chances of him fixing things up between him and Lily. Does she actually think she can just be friends with anyone, not giving a thought on what house they might be in? It doesn't work that way, and certainly doesn't work that way with Severus. Severus would have no interest in Gryffindors at all except to the fact he'd been best friends with Lily. Other than that, he avoids anyone else in the house that he can, as they're always the ones siding with Potter and Black when it comes to hexing him.

Serena then said, "Probably because you look at only eople in your house as friends and don't see that you can have friends in more than one house." She then crossed her arms and continued, "Besides I was nice to you. Have I ever been rude or snobbish to you uh no not as far as I can remember. I only jumped down your throat once and that was because I wanted answers."

Severus scowled. "Well, clearly you are right," he said with a slight edge to his voice. Even if he did attempt to make friends in other houses, she wouldn't be one of them. She wouldn't leave him alone and it was starting to really annoy him. She doesn't know him, or know anything about him. He didn't believe that she was simply trying to be friends, it seemed more like she's trying to prove a point that you can have friends in other houses, and she was choosing the wrong person to try to do that. She doesn't know anything about Severus. Does she not understand that she can't be friends with everyone? If she's like this to everyone, she's more likely to have more enemies than friends.

"Well clearly I am," Severus replied rather irritated. If she knew that, why was she bothering trying? Trying to be his friend? She doesn't even know him. She probably feels sorry for him because he's so unpopular or something and doesn't actually care about being friends. It doesn't matter now though. Why couldn't she get the point? He doesn't just easily make friends with anyone.

Stella saw Serena walked off, "Well....wasnt that interesting." she said from sitting on the other side of the tree. She got up and brushed herself off, she very much doubted he wanted to talk to anyone right now, he seemed to have just gotten rid of one person... maybe he wanted to get back to his thoughts... but she leant on the side of the tree, where he was. Its not like she hadnt noticed him looking up every so often to see if anyone or anyone special was there before Serena had come for a very pleasent visit. She was a smart girl, and it looked like he was in love but she shut her mouth and did the slytherin thing, she smirked.

Severus looked up as he heard the different voice, his gaze landing upon Stella. He hadn't noticed she was nearby. "If you think so," he muttered under his breath, not seeming to care if she heard or not. He a bit annoyed that someone had overheard their little 'conversation', though then again it must've been hard not to.
