Hidden away in a dark corner of the library, close to the Restricted Section, a scrawny Slytherin boy could be seen. He sat at a small table, his yellow skin and black eyes hidden behind a curtain of greasy black hair. His hooked nose was only a couple of inches away from the text, as if so interested in the content of the book he just wanted to disappear into it.
There was good reason for him to be in such interest of it. It came from the Restricted Section of the library, full on Dark Arts. It was full of gruesome pictures and drawings, clearly the effect of some spells and what happens if some of them go wrong. He was very lucky to find this book in the library, as it wasn't exactly full on books on how to do Dark Magic, to his disappointment.
The day outside somewhat resembled Severus's mood. It was a dark afternoon and there was rain splattering the windows, though it had a calming presence. Severus turned the page, his cold gaze running over the gruesome drawings in the book, faded slightly form age. He only looked up when he heard footsteps, looking suspicious as he was always on edge if Potter and Black were around, though to his relief it was the librarian, who disappeared between the shelves as the silence grew.

Serena walked into the library and started browsing the shelves. She then seen a boy reading a book and thought he looked quite lonely, so she walked over and said, "Hi, I'm Serena, What's your name?" She ignored the fact that he was from Slytherin and ought to be nice to him thinking he may have been different.

Severus looked up with a scowl with the disruption, his cold dark eyes narrowing as he saw the Gryffindor girl. "What do you want," he said scathingly. To him, it was just another Gryffindor, most likely someone else who looks up to Potter and Black and also wants to spend their time making fun of him. He glared at her for a moment before turning his attention back to his book, though looking uncomfortable to be in her presence.

Serena then said, "I wanted to know if you would like some company because you seemed lonely and as much as books can be intresting they can't give you much company. And if you think I think James Potter and Sirius Black are people to look up to you're dead wrong. They are to self center and need to deflate their ego. And I am trying to be nice and look over the fact that we are from two different houses and those that loath each other and are rivals. So what's your name?" Truth was as she spoke she knew what James and Sirius liked doing and hated them for it. She hated bullying and violence.

Severus scowled. How did she know that's what he was thinking? "I never said that," he replied coldly, looking to the girl in disgust. No matter what anyone says, he would never try to find company with a Gryffindor. "I don't want your company." Yes, Severus was being harsh, though for good reason. He still didn't believe the girl, and even if he did he wasn't about to start trying to be nice. Yes, they are from rival houses and Severus wasn't to forget that quickly. He pointedly turned his attention back to his book, looking irritated.

Serena then said, "Fine be rude. I was just being nice to you. I mean for Merlin's Sake at least try to be nice in return. All I was trying to do was be your friend" She then turned and went back to where she had been before trying to make conversation with the boy."

Kunne slinked into the library quietly passing that headstrong Gryffindor girl she saw in the hall earlier. She ambled over close to the restricted section and stared at it wondering what information was hidden away in its depths. She dared not go in since that would mean punishment, but she had a feeling what she wanted was in there somewhere.
The tan girl noticed a boy in the corner reading. Curious, Kunne approached his table, and leaned over to read the title on the book spine. "Odd subject. Is it interesting?" she muttered.

Kunne simply shrugged. "Some claim there's a karma system in place in the world. I have yet to see it in action, but it might exist. His rudeness might be paid for in time."

Serena shrugged and went about looking for books and pulled one off the shelf and began flicking through the pages. She then said to the boy who had been so rude to her, "Just to let you know. I was trying to be your friend."

Remus walked into the library. He went down one of the allys and pulled out a book on Spells to defense yourself. He need to write an essay on the spells and what they do and how they used. It was for his DAD Class. He heard the Rain patter against the window. He opened when he looked up.
To his disappointment, he saw Severus Snape sitting in a corner reading a book. Knowing Snape and what he likes. It was a book from the Restricted Section. It was mostly likely full of Dark arts or dark Magic. Which he loves to read. But Remus never like the Dark arts or Dark Magic himself.
He pulled out a parchment, Quill and Ink. He started turning the pages to look up the spells for his foot long Essya.

Serena then said, "I'd be happy to be your friend if your willing to be mine. But that statment I made a minute ago was directed at the one that was so rude Who is now known as Sir I must bite off friendly gryffindor's head who wanted to be my friend."

"Ah." She wondered if the boy would respond or whether he was trying his hardest to ignore her. Not making any progress to figuring out what was being read, Kunne moved around behind the older boy and read over his shoulder with a tilted head.

Remus overheard a girl talking to someone else about Snape. He looked up. He saw Serena talking to a fifth year Ravenclaw girl He never meet before. Why are those two doing in the library. Maybe they were trying to gets Snape's attention, But that was unlikely. Snape always hated James and Sirius. He hated the Gryffindors since James made he turn up stand down last year. So why should Snape want to have a Gryffindor friend is Beyond him.
