Well. After a day of hardworking and some extra flying time for pleasure, it was finally time to kick back and relax. Though some wouldn't exactly look toward to the library as a source of entertainment, Kirsten hadn't actually mean to be going in the first place. However, since the Slytherin team had booked the entire pitch for practice, Kirsten had had to leave early. Not able to perform her usual afternoon broomstick practice, Kirsten had to go out and find something else to do. Now for some light reading. But oh, what to read, what to read?
Browsing down the fiction aisle, Kirsten casually scanned the names - Goblins and Wizards, the Final Battle. The Muggle and the Dragon. A Tale of A Wand. Nothing that looked even remotely interesting. The bored Hufflepuff was about to turn tail and leave the library when a tall shadow of an approaching person made her pause. The length surprised Kirsten - had to sun truly set so far? The second thought that flitted through the 5th year's mind was a brief wondering of who could possibly be in the library - it wasn't exactly the most popular place on campus. So as the shadow grew closer, Kirsten politely waited for it to pass so she could continue on her way to the next aisle.

Lily was quite bored that day. There wasn't really anything to do, not even homework(she would always do it on time and would never spend too much time with it). Finally, she realized there were two options: one, lay on her bed and do nothing for the rest of the day, and two, just walk around the school.
She chose the latter. She was already at the door of the bedroom when she remembered she had a book from the library here. Well, I might as well return it. It was another romance. Lily was simply obsessed with romances.
The library, surprisingly, wasn't empty. There was another girl sitting there. Happy, Lily dropped the book down onto the table and neared her. At least she wasn't going to spend the entire afternoon all alone.
"Hi!" she cast a friendly smile at the other girl, "What are you doing?"

Natural bubbliness coming to light at the sound of another, possibly friendly peer, Kirsten answered back with a welcoming tone.
I was trying to find a good read, but there is absolutely nothing here thats actually interesting!
Glancing down at the slight thud that signified the dropping of a book, Kirsten in inadvertently read the title. A romance! Finally, some semblance of a true novel in this utterly boring library. Flipping her short blond tresses back as she looked back - bloody bangs kept falling into her eyes - Kirsten excitedly addressed the other.
I love romances! Where on Earth did you find this one?

Lily was glad that the girl was friendly; she would have hated to have stumbled upon some moody Slytherin ready for a fight. Her smile became even wider when she mentioned she liked romances as well.
"It was on a small shelf in the back...I guess it's not really the first thing the librarian would recommend us." Then she realized she hadn't intriduced herself yet.
"I'm Lily, by the way."

A laugh escaped Kirsten, loud and clear. No doubt if grumpy old Ms. Whats-her-name heard she would have an apoplexy. Twice before the evil witch had caught and reprimanded her for doing exactly what she was doing now. But wait - no bristling librarian heading this way with murder in her sunken gray eyes. Luck was with her, this time at least.
Lovely to meet you, Lily! I'm Kirsten, from Hufflepuff.
As etiquette would demand, the 5th year politely held out her hand. Kind green eyes took a moment to take a swift observation of the other, noting the similar emerald hue but longer, red hair and a slightly taller stature. But that really wasn't much of a surprise - most people were taller than Kirsten when she wasn't wearing her favorite cowboy boots.
Casually picking up the book [Kirsten was planning on checking it out later], the Hufflepuffian took a quick look at her watch.
Yikes! We're gonna be late for dinner. Would you like to join me?
ooc. sorry for the wait - law and order's on. =]

Serena walked into the library she was very bored and had nothing to do nor any friends to hang out with so she had decided to head to the library once she had entered she seen too girls chatting and walked by them to a book shelf and started browsing, her blue eyes scanning the shelf. Her long black hair hanging down and around her shoulders.

"Nice to meet you too."
Another girl entered. She was alone, and Lily felt it would be nice to go over and talk to her. Lily had always been a generally nice person, and she liked having many friends, helping others, etc.
"I'm not that hungry right now." And she wasn't. She saw Kirsten pick up the book and smiled; "If the librarian wouldn't, I'd definitely recommend the book. It's a bit sad, but I like them that way..." Again she was speaking the truth. Tragedy romances were great.
She turned to the other girl. "Hi! What's up?"

Fair enough. The bells will be ringing shortly, I can go down then. Instead of speaking, Kirsten performed a careless nod, her version of a shoulder shrug. Like many Hufflepuffs, Kirsten was a natural people-pleaser, and it would seem rude at this stage to simply walk out in a fit of selfishness. Therefore Kirsten welcomed the excuse of thudding footfalls to turn away from her conversation with Lily and welcome the lone girl to their midst.
However, the elder Gryffindor beat her to the punch - perhaps the two knew each other? Ah well, didn't matter. Kirsten welcomed the opportunity to meet and perhaps make a new friend. Smiling kindly at the other, the blonde girl noted how different they all were in terms of hair coloring. You got your blonde, redhead and raven hair all in one. And here I go again, thinking utterly useless things. Kirsten kept quiet, only offering her smile as a greeting. When the time to speak came she'd know it.

Serena turned to the person who had spoke to her and said, "Hi. Nothing much just looking for a book. and I am bored so I decidecome up here to the library. My names Serena by the way, Serena Carter. What up with you?" She then kept full attention on the one's she was talking to while still scanning the shelves.

"I didn't have anything better to do, so I came to return a book." Lily said, sitting down on the table. She quickly jumped of when the librarian came towards them; "Miss Evans! This is a library, not a pub!"
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry..." As the old woman went away, Lily rolled her eyes, "God, are all librarians like that?"

Serena nodded and said, "Yes. Do what I do tell them to shut their mouths and give them an evil glare. Usually makes them back off. Well for me it does at least."

Lily laughed; "Well, with me that gets me detention. Perhaps my glare is never evil enough..."
Here she does a comical immitation of a mean look.

Daisy laughed quietly and gave her own evil glare that would probably scare anyone out of their wits. She then said, "Mine tends to scare them to death."

"They scare me too, so watch out!" Lily smiled. But she had her temper as well. When someone would get her really mad, she could do a pretty good 'evil glare'. Like, that arrogant James Potter...
